We’re currently seeking an Addiction Counselor (CAC/LAC) to fill an opening with a correctional facility in Canon City, CO offering competitive pay, flexible schedules, and great work-life balance.

Details & Responsibilities –

• Credentialing Estimate – 1-2 months

• Mental Health Care. As a mental health provider with CDOC you will be care from the medical wing of one of CDOC’s facilities. These clinics provide medical, dental, and mental health care to the inmates and are staffed by multiple primary care & mental health physicians and APPs.

• Therapeutic Community Department. Provide care for drug/alcohol addiction related conditions.

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals. Collaborate & work with other mental health providers, nurses and medical assistants to ensure a high standard of care.

• Refer Patients. As needed, refer patients to off-site specialists.

  Required Qualifications –

• One of the following license types in the state of Colorado

• CAC/CAS

• LAC

• Master's Degree in a Mental Health Field

• BLS/ACLS Certification

• Able to pass a defensive tactics course (provided by the facility)
