Description

The Full Charge Bookkeeper position Robert Half is currently filling in the Real Estate & Property industry could be a good fit for you. The long-term contract / temporary to hire Full Charge Bookkeeper will work in Cardiff, California. The role will be responsible for all general accounting and bookkeeping functions including the preparation of financial statements. You will also be establishing and maintaining the organization's accounting principles, practices, procedures, and initiatives.
* This position is part-time, 21 hours a week. *
Major responsibilities
Executing accounts payable and accounts receivable tasks, such as collections
Completing bank and general ledger reconciliations; processing payroll
Preparing depreciation schedules by tracking fixed assets
Maintaining adherence to federal, state, and local legal requirements by keeping up to date on them, filing reports, and advising management on needed actions
Ensuring correct and punctual monthly, quarterly and year end close
Maintaining historical records by filing documents
Assembling the trial balance and financial statements, including balance sheet and income and cash flow statements
Supervising tasks of accounting clerks and entry-level bookkeepers
Requirements - Can work independently with minimal supervision
3+ years of relevant experience in bookkeeping
- Excel and Peachtree experience a plus
Be able to adapt and thrive in constantly changing environments
Prior payroll experience preferred
Outstanding skills in analyzing financial data and promptly generating accurate reports
Experienced in accrual and cash basis of accounting
Foundational knowledge in Annual Tax
Proficiency in full charge bookkeeping
Knowledge of bookkeeping
Comprehensive knowledge of QuickBooks
High school diploma or similar certification with an AA degree or higher in Accounting or Business recommended
Ability to handle multiple tasks to prioritize needs and expedite tasks upon request
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are a must
