Job Description

David Weekley Homes is seeking a Facilities Manager to support our Dallas New Home Center in Carrollton, TX. The successful candidate must be able to manage many projects involving maintenance, repairs and improvements to a 45,000 sq. ft. building. This position requires a team player who values delighting both internal and external customers alike!

Job Responsibilities:

  • Help lead the team for facilities maintenance, coordination, construction and upkeep (interior and exterior)

  • Plans, budget and schedule facility modifications, including cost estimates

  • Project lead internal office moves and re-configurations

  • Ensure all break area supplies and equipment are in working order

  • Coordinate room set-up for meetings

  • AV/Video support

  • Security liaison as well as system/telecommunications back-up and support

  • Special events/project support

  • Perform minor repairs (touch up paint, adjustments, use tools, etc.)

  • Inspect the building on a daily basis to monitor maintenance needs and tend to those needs

  • Courier responsibilities 1-2 times a week

Qualifications

Candidate Requirements:

  • 5+ years of solid work experience in facilities maintenance

  • Strong customer service skills

  • Interpersonal skills and clear verbal and written communication skills (Spanish is a plus)

  • Working knowledge of electrical, mechanical, HVAC systems, fire alarm and building emergency systems

  • Excellent time management & organization skills

  • Attention to detail and ability to deal effectively with numerous interruptions while prioritizing tasks

  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, and Outlook

  • Self-starter and willing to take initiative

  • Any management/supervisory skills a plus

  • Ability to work Monday – Friday and after hours as necessary; response to emergencies, as needed

  • Physical Demands & Environment: Work indoors and outdoors; ability to lift up to 50 lbs; bend, climb and reach
