We're seeking a highly motivated Shipping & Receiving Manager to join our dynamic team. In this role, you'll be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our department, ensuring timely deliveries, and fostering a positive work environment.

You'll be responsible for:

  • Leading a team of 10-20 employees

  • Streamlining procedures to optimize workflow

  • Implementing Lean Manufacturing practices for cost reduction and quality improvement

  • Planning and scheduling to meet production deadlines

  • Managing inventory for maximum efficiency

  • Ensuring adherence to safety protocols and reporting procedures

  • Identifying and resolving employee concerns

  • Coaching and developing your team for success

  • Maintaining relationships with internal and external partners

You'll be a great fit if you have:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

Responsibilities Include:

  • Responsible for work procedures, prepare work schedules and expedite workflow within the Shipping and Recieving Department

  • Manage policy deployment in various areas including Lean Manufacturing, quality, cost reduction, on-time delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, and plant performance

  • Manage the activities of the department, followin established procedures and approved processes

  • Plan, schedule and coordinate departmental activities to fulfill sales orders and meet delivery

  • Manage material requirements to increase inventory turns and reduce levels on hand.

  • Provide leadership for problem resolution and improved working relationships

  • Identify, communicate and rive implementation of capital investments and improvement projects

  • Issure instructions to staff, assign duties and ensure they are carried out

  • Examine work for accuracy, compliance to policies and continually improve processes

  • Develop employees through coaching and counseling

  • Conduct performance reivews and provide feedback

  • Conduct safety meetings and monitor work quality

  • Plan daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly productions to meet deadlines

  • Direct employees' work, set rates of pay and hours and plan the departmental budget
