Systems engineering is all about collaboration. Collaboration with other systems engineers on your team, collaboration with other engineering disciplines throughout design and development, and collaboration with program leadership and customers. On this systems engineering team specifically, you will collaborate on projects related to Open System Architectures for the Department of Defense. Open System Architectures are an emerging set of Industry-wide requirements intended to standardize hardware and software interfaces for data systems (communication, sensor, or other mission data) such that new and emerging capabilities can be very rapidly developed, fielded, and integrated. What You Will Do:

• Generation and decomposition of requirements for design and development teams

• Integration and test of new and emerging hardware and software

• Physical, logical, and conceptual model based systems engineering

• Bid and Proposal support for new business pursuits

• Travel 1 – 4 times per year

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships).

• U.S. citizenship is required - Only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under these programs/contracts.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• High level understanding of communication theory, networking, and / or digital processing

• Experience collaborating within a multi-disciplinary project team

• Familiarity with Python, MatLab, and / or C

The salary range for this role is 53,000 USD - 103,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
