Amentum Pricing Analyst IV in Chantilly, Virginia

The Pricing Analyst IV will be responsible for preparing cost and price proposals of medium to high complexity utilizing the principles of cost accounting standards and the Company’s Estimating System. This includes working in a close team environment with the capture/proposal teams to develop pricing strategies, identifying risks, interpreting solicitation requirements, and calculating profit and loss statements for each proposal. This person gathers cost data and studies which provide detailed cost information used in developing proposals and conducts proposal peer reviews. This position will be required to effectively achieve results with minimal supervision.

This is a remote-telework position, but the candidate needs to reside near one of Amentum’s offices in Chantilly, VA; Norfolk, VA; Ft. Worth, TX; or Las Vegas, NV to work on-site for certain proposals and meetings (10-15% travel required). US citizenship is required.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Determine Price Proposal requirements in regard to pricing; cost build up, CLIN structure, and any additional submittal requirements.

  • Plan, study, and collect data to determine costs of business activity such as material purchases, equipment, subcontract, labor and Basis of Estimates.

  • Review data obtained and develops pricing models for large proposals with minimal supervision.

  • Act as a mentor, coordinating and directing other members of the pricing staff on larger complex proposals.

  • Ability to write a cost narrative in line with company pricing methodologies and Government Request for Proposal guidelines.

  • Perform cost analysis and estimates for proposal efforts, consistent with company policies, Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS), other applicable regulations and solicitation requirements.

  • Participate in pricing reviews with upper management and generate Business Case Analysis.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with workload subject to fluctuation.

  • Ability to work independently and meet hard deadlines, and work with all levels of the organization.

Minimum Position Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least 8-years of proposal pricing experience.

  • US Citizenship is required to apply.

  • Experience in developing Price Proposals that include Service Contract Act Wage Determinations, and Collective Bargaining Agreements associated with labor unions.

  • Advanced Excel experience is required. Excellent writing, spreadsheet and word processing skills required.

  • Must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

  • Knowledge of the principles, methods and practices of cost estimating. Knowledge of FAR and CAS preferred.

  • Must possess excellent analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently under conditions of multiple deadlines and changing priorities to produce a large volume of high-quality material with keen attention to detail.

  • Must be able to work extended hours, often with short notice, to meet deadlines.

  • Additional education may be substituted for experience or additional experience may be substituted for education (generally 2 years of experience equals 1 year of education).

  • Preferred Experience (pricing in one or more of the following categories):

  • Environment and Security (Clean Energy, Environmental Remediation, A&E/Design, Counterthreat and Non-Proliferation, Infrastructure Engineering).

  • Intelligence environment (Infrastructure Engineering; Secure Networking; Security Engineering; Mission Enabling; Design, Engineering and Construction; Facility Upgrade, Operations and Maintenance; Network Design and Protection; Physical, Technical and Infrastructure Security; Mission Planning, Risk Analysis and Mitigation; Intelligence Collection and Analysis)
