ARMACELL LLC Regional Purchasing Manager in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

The Regional Purchasing Manager, Americas is the leader of the procurement team and manages $250M in annual spend. The Regional Purchasing Manager is responsible for managing the procurement activities in the Americas related to raw materials, packaging supplies, freight, utilities, products and other services. The role is expected to lead the development and execution of regional category sourcing strategies that will have significant value to Armacell. This role is also a member of the Global Procurement Leadership team (GPLT) that defines the mission, roadmap and priorities for Procurement at Armacell. The role reports to the Regional GM of Operations Americas with a functional reporting line to the Director Global Procurement.

Ideal candidate will reside within the East coast including but not limited to Connecticut, Delaware, Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, and Florida.

Job Responsibilities

  • Leads and executes Regional (Americas) category sourcing strategies for the key goods and services in line with business objectives and procurement priorities.

  • Ensures all purchasing activities in the region are conducted according to the Armacell procurement policy to ensure maximum value of every $ spent by Armacell.

  • Leads supplier relationship management (SRM) initiatives with the strategic suppliers as defined jointly with the business.

  • Actively participates in the GPLT to develop the procurement 3-year mission, category prioritization, SRM prioritization, risk management and supplier audit plan, capability building for procurement tools and trainings and procurement talent development.

  • Supports the Regional implementation of the Global Master Vendor Management and Procure to Pay WAM processes.

  • Ensures the implementaion of SAP upgrades and other procurement tools to further enhance the analytical capabilities of the procurement team and improve spend control int he Region.

  • Manages the vendor qualification and audit process.

  • Track and authorize raw material exchanges.

  • Identifies and implements various cost savings projects in alignment with the business seeking standardization and leveraging across the region.

  • Manages the approval process for purchasing documents, ensures proper approvals and archives approvals.

  • Prepares commodity and market reports as required.

  • Supports and assists in implementing and maintaining kanban and consignment inventory programs.

  • Manages working capital relating to procurement (accounts payable, raw material inventory, payment terms extension, etc).

  • Delivers timely business intelligence (PPV, average payment terms, feedstock price evolutions, etc) related to procurement topics.

  • Develop and submit monthly and weekly procurement reports to the operations team and project controls.

  • Tracks and reports the key KPIs to measure procurements performance

Job Qualifications and Requirements

  • 5-7 years of experie ce in a leadership procurement role at regional/international level.

  • Experience in Resin and Rubber procurement within a manufacturing environment.

  • Strategic global procurement expertise.

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects with both strategic and tactical responsibility.

  • Proven experience in contract negotiations, supplier relationship management and strategic sourcing.

  • Superior interpersonal skills; strong verbal and written communications and presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical skills, high level of accuracy and demonstrated skills at extracting data from multiple sources and consolidating into management friendly information that can contribute to fact-based decision making.

  • Proven experience to lead a team in an international team in a matrix organization.

  • Experience in SAP and Microsoft Applications

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks/projects simultaneously.

  • Bachelors Degree in a related field.

  • Approximately 20% domestic travel and occasional international travel.
