Mobile Communications America Shipping & Receiving Specialist in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

MCA, your trusted advisor for wireless communications, data, and security, is seeking an experienced Shipping and Receiving Specialist in Chapel Hill, NC, to support our fast-growing Data division.

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:

  • Perform shipping and receiving functions, including, but not limited to the following:

  • Verify deliveries against packing slips for accuracy and inspect for damage.

  • Receive inventory into the accounting system of record.

  • Identify, separate, label, and palletize deliveries by project.

  • Support shipping and mobilization of material.

  • Stage equipment orders for projects

  • Facilitate return of equipment from projects

  • Monitor and maintain uncommitted inventory and supplies.

  • Perform tasks to ensure safety, organization, and cleanliness of the warehouse.

  • Use tools such as a stacker and pallet jack.

  • Communicate consistently and effectively with management, purchasing, engineering, sales, project management and installation teams.

  • Provide support for delivery of materials to job site as needed.

  • Assist with management of general building maintenance.

  • Perform computer functions necessary to track various aspects of goods.

  • Inventory management, including supporting manual inventory counts.

  • Address inventory control issues as they arise.

  • Actively and collaboratively support logistic process optimization.

  • Support Purchasing Team

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE TEAM:

  • Minimum of 2 years experience in logistics 

  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, such as Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams

  • Strong communication and organization skills

  • Familiarity with telecommunications preferred.

YOUR ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

The physical environment requires the employee to work inside.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently stand, walk, sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear; lift (overhead, waist level) from the floor, bending, frequently utilize near vision use for reading and computer use; occasionally move equipment weighing up to 50 pounds, and frequently position self to maintain computers or other equipment as needed.

Travel as necessary to support company and customer needs.
