TEKsystems Technology Field Support in CHARLESTON, South Carolina

Our client is bringing on individuals to assist with the influx of tickets they are receiving (broken Chromebooks due to traveling from virtual to in-person learning, troubleshooting due to new application with COVID, new site builds, new device swap outs etc.). This opportunity is longer term based on performance. These technicians will work directly with the Lead Field Technicians to support a portfolio of locations (typically 8-10) in a zone. Technicians should be good at following directions, able to work in a group and independently, and have previous hands-on computer experience with computers/laptops, printers, handheld devices, cell phones, telephone, PA, classroom sound enhancement, SMARTBoard, etc.

Top Skills Details:

1) 2+ years of computer/mobile device troubleshooting (needs strong hands on experience in a professional setting in previous roles)--Ability to connect/troubleshoot IT hardware (laptops, desktops, Smart Boards) to power supply and network/WIFI

2)Experience with some technology troubleshooting such as network or display connection issues.

3) Strong customer service skills and well as the working responsibly without direct supervision

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

These technicians should be professional, personable and able to interact with non-technical individuals in the various site locations throughout Charleston County. This is a driving role (travel field technician) in between site locations.

Common sense, punctuality, professionalism, and attendance are extremely important. The leads have no issue teaching technical skills; however, they do not want to deal with issues with work ethic.

Experience Level:2+ years experience in a technical support role.
