DCL Corporation Warehouse Traffic Technician in Charleston, South Carolina

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Traffic Technician to join our team.

GENERAL ACCOUNTABILITY

Under the general direction of the Warehouse Manager, responsible for the movement of raw materials and finished goods throughout the warehouse, plant and truck areas.

SPECIFIC ACCOUNTABILITIES

The specific responsibilities of the Warehouse Traffic Technician include but are not limited to:

  • Loading and unloading trucks.

  • Complies with all safety procedures and safety training requirements.

  • Moves finished goods and raw materials to warehouse racks.

  • Updates finished goods inventories on the computer system.

  • Stages raw materials to meet plant needs.

  • Re-packs containers to meet customer specifications.

  • Accurately pulls orders for customers.

  • Participates in company continuous improvement initiatives such as 5S, Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.

  • Monitor production schedules and ensure that all material needs are met.

  • Monitor labeling to ensure all product to/from the warehouse is properly labeled.

  • Validate product shipped and received by matching bills, reconciling quantities: noting discrepancies.

  • Use site ERP system to monitor inventories and place internal orders/movements as needed for production.

  • Operate forklift and tugger mules to move product and materials throughout the plant.

  • Other duties as assigned by Warehouse Supervisor.

    QUALIFICATIONS / EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum 2 years manufacturing, warehouse or general labor experience

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    POSITION/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

    This is an hourly non-exempt position. Regular hours of work are 7:00AM-3:30PM
