Robert Half Corporate Tax Manager in Charlotte, North Carolina

Description

We are seeking a Corporate Tax Manager for our Finance Division based in Charlotte, North Carolina. This role is centered on ensuring the accurate and timely completion of all federal, state, and local tax compliance. The Corporate Tax Manager will serve as a key liaison with external consultants and will also be responsible for handling various business, license, and property returns.

Responsibilities:

• Act as the primary contact with external consultants to ensure accurate and timely completion of federal and state filings.

• Collect and provide necessary financial information for tax calculations.

• Coordinate with the payables team to ensure timely payment of tax balances.

• Handle the completion of state, local, and other returns not covered by external consultants.

• Assist with the completion of business, license, property returns, payments, and surveys as needed.

• Utilize ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning to manage accounting functions.

• Prepare and file corporate tax returns, federal income tax returns, sales tax returns, property tax returns, and multi-state tax returns.

• Maintain accurate records of all tax-related activities.

• Monitor and update tax regulations and compliance procedures.

• Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and compliant tax operations.

Requirements • Proficiency in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems

• Comprehensive understanding of accounting functions

• Experience in preparing and reviewing corporate tax returns

• Expertise in handling federal income tax returns

• Familiarity with sales tax returns

• Proficient in managing property tax returns

• Knowledge of multi-state tax returns

• Ability to guide and manage a team

• Strong communication and leadership skills

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field

• Professional certification such as Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Tax Coach (CTC) is preferred

• Proven experience in a similar role in corporate settings

• Proficient in using tax software and other related tools

• Ability to stay updated with the latest tax laws and regulations

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
