Wells Fargo Lead Data Engineer-Major Incident and Major Problem Analysis in CHARLOTTE, North Carolina

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Engineer experienced in Data visualization tools Microsoft Power BI and Tableau, and Windows, Oracle, and Teradata databases to join our Major Incident Management Command Center team.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead complex initiatives with broad impact and act as key participant in large scale software planning for the Technology area

  • Design, develop, and run tooling to discover problems in data and applications and report the issues to engineering and product leadership

  • Review and analyze complex software enhancement initiatives for business, operational or technical improvements that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors

  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted data engineering situations requiring understanding of software package options and programming language and compliance requirements that influence and lead Technology to meet deliverables and drive organizational change

  • Strategically collaborate and consult with internal partners to resolve highly risky data engineering challenges

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Database Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

  • 2+ years of experience in Microsoft Power BI and/or Tableau

  • 2+ years of experience in Financial Service products such as Checking/Savings, Credit Card, Personal Lending, Small Business, Wholesale, or Investment Banking

Desired Qualifications:

  • Experience analyzing trends across technology incident, problem and change performance

  • Experience creating cost benefit analysis and solution presentations

  • Strong hands-on development experience in Power BI tool - creating reports, scheduling of the reports, Datasets creations and semantic models creation for ad-hoc reporting.

  • Expertise in Power BI reports performance tuning

  • Experience presenting analysis and evaluating solutions with stakeholders, partner and leadership teams

  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely and use strong writing and verbal skills to communicate facts, figures, and ideas to others.

  • Deliver effective presentations and talks.
