Performs a variety of routine non-direct patient care clinical office support and/or distribution functions within the assigned unit.

Provides support to the unit(s) which may include the following:

  • Maintains Patient Safety.

  • Pickup/Transport/Return of equipment to and from other units.

  • Transport patients to and from units, using wheelchairs, stretchers, or beds as mode of transport.

  • Turnover of patient rooms/bays between patients.

  • Equipment maintenance and safety checks are completed according to policy and procedure.

  • Stock suppliesaccurately; assures products are placed in the correct bin location and rotated during restock.

  • Inventory items are checked to verify that the items are not damaged or has expired.

  • Assures that requested deliveries are taken to the correct location in a timely manner.

  • Check supplies for expiration dates in department secondary storage locations.

  • Assisting patient’s family at discharge with carrying items to the lobby/car.

  • May provide donning/doffing coach support when necessary. Covers the desk role by managing phone calls and assisting with patient flow.

  • Performs administrative support functions when necessary. Maintains necessary skills and competencies.

  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.

Position Compensation Range: $15.00 - $19.19 Hourly

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School Diploma or GED

Experience: No experience required.

Licensure: None required.

Must be 18 years or older

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Job requires sitting, standing for prolonged periods, frequently walking, bending/stooping and reaching (overhead, extensive, repetitive); Repetitive motion: computer use. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull 20 - 50lbs.
