Job Overview:
Responsible for maintaining safe crane operations as per Company and manufacturer’s procedures/guidelines within the crane’s capabilities. This role will be working in offshore vessel.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
Operate vessel and barge cranes for the following operations:
General deck lifting
Pipe lifting
Working subsea with diving personnel on various lifts
Jacket lifting, horizontal/vertical/upending
Topside deck lifts and associated packages
Piles
Pile driving hammers
Internal Lifting Devices (ILT)
Single Buoy Moorings (SBM)
Various other components associated with operations
Operate cranes by way of radio communications and/or hand signals.
In conjunction with vessel engineering personnel, perform daily checklists on equipment and report faults to the Crane Engineer / Technician and OCM
Assist Crane Engineer / Technician with planned maintenance tasks
Maintain a high level of cleanliness in the crane work area including the operator’s cab
Maintain all relevant crane logs and reports
To be familiar with all Company procedures, including the Safety Management System, applicable to his duties
Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established safety standards and work practices
Taking part in emergency and occupational onboard training such as the use of self-contained breathing apparatus, firefighting, man overboard exercises, lifeboat launching, security drills, and/or other training as applicable for the function
Wearing, inspecting, and caring for required personal protective equipment
Essential Qualifications and Education:
Valid crane operator’s certificate
Experience on offshore cranes in a similar application (e.g., large cranes for big rig operators, subsea cranes for DSV work)

Valid Medical Certificate of Fitness
STCW Reg
VI-6 – Security Familiarization
