What does a successful Software Development Engineering - Advisor I do at FISERV ?

What will you do:

• Should be able to prepare Technical Specification, Functional Specification and High Level Design documents independently.

• Should have detailed technical understanding of VisionPLUS Batch and Online Architecture, VisionPLUS Functional Architecture and Mandatory Parameter configurations.

• Should conduct Functional and Technical Specification Walk through with the Onsite & Client teams

• Perform Impact Analysis of any given requirement and suggest the best possible solution.

• Demonstrates high standards of vigilance in delivery of Code, Unit test results, self- motivated for learning new skills, should be a good team player.

• Ensure that Fiserv development methodologies and standards are followed.

• Ensures all potential risks are identified and appropriate mitigation plans are in place to have minimal/no impact to business.

• Should have experience to lead a project/release from Design till Implementation; must have Implementations experience.

• Perform SIT / UAT and Implementation support for the assigned project.

• Should have good understanding of Cards and Payment domain.

• Should be able to manage a team of 5-10 team members during design, development and testing phases

What will you need to know:

• Looking for Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, engineering or related field.

• 10+ years of experience with VisionPLUS as an architect, technical SME or senior developer

• 3+ years of solution architecture experience in the cards and payments industry

• Expertise in consumer and corporate card payment products (debit, credit, prepaid), card issuing platforms, end-to-end payment authorization process and card schemes

• Deep technical expertise in 2 or more VisionPLUS application subsystems from either CMS, FAS, TRAMS, MBS and VMX

• Deep understanding of the overall VisionPLUS architecture, including common aspects like security, framework, integration between modules, monetary and non-monetary transactional flows, points/rewards modules and data extraction and reporting

• Knowledge of CICS, COBOL and z/OS, including JCL

• Familiarity with scheduling tools like CA-7 and Control-M

• Deep analytical, problem solving and troubleshooting skills

What would be great to have:

• Ability to speak, write and read in English (advanced intermediate level)

• Knowledge of payment authorization switches (e.g., Base24) and Fraud prevention solutions (e.g., Falcon Fraud Manager)

• Experience with Microfocus Enterprise Server emulation for CICS/Cobol applications

• Agile development experience
