WASHINGTON COLLEGE Registrar in CHESTERTOWN, Maryland

Description

The Registrar provides leadership and hands-on management in the preservation and maintenance of academic records and is responsible for their organization, accuracy, and integrity. Reporting to the Provost, the Registrar oversees two full-time staff, and serves on relevant Academic Affairs committees. While some in-person work is needed, a hybrid schedule is available under our telework policy to those who can maintain a standard of excellence in the position while working partially remotely. Salary range: $90k - $105k/yr.(CUPA-HR Job Code 173000)

Specific responsibilities include:

  • The collection, security, and dissemination of student academic data according to best practices in the field.
  • Effective and timely delivery of service to students, alumni, and other internal constituents.
  • Development and implementation of academic and curricular policies and procedures
  • Production of reports on academic data for internal use and dissemination to external agencies
  • Management and development of office staff.
  • Manage and update workflows, processes, and policies that reflect best practices.
  • Supporting Commencement and Convocation activities.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelors Degree
  • Five years of progressive experience in a registrars office or similar function, preferably at a liberal arts institution.Minimum two years of supervisory experience.
  • Understanding of data and processing relationships in large databases
  • Ability and desire to solve problems and engage in analytical activities.
  • Service-oriented approach when assisting students, faculty, staff, and parents.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite, including Teams, Sharepoint, and OneDrive.
  • Knowledge of integrated database ERP systems (Colleague, Banner, Peoplesoft, etc.)
  • Excellent oral and writing skills.

Preferred:

  • Masters Degree
  • Experience with Ellucian Colleague
  • Experience with SAP Business Objects and Informer reporting or similar systems.
  • Experience with eTrieve or Slate for electronic student records
  • Proven ability to consult and collaborate with administrators and faculty colleagues to develop policies and procedures.
