Job Title: Machine Operator

Job Description

• Utilize a tape measure to properly measure material
• Operate band saw to cut steel
• Machine operating experience
• Not set ups/ change overs
• Maintain production speed
• Quality check products are cut to spec
• Mics/caliper experience
• Tape measure experience
• Prepare, move, clean, and cut steel

3rd shift (11PM - 7AM)

Will train on 1st shift (7AM - 3PM)

Hard Skills

• Band Saw machine operator

• Ability to read a tape measure

• Manufacturing/heavy industrial experience

Job Type

This is a Contract-to-Hire position with a duration of 3 Month(s).

Work Site

This is a fully on-site position in Chicago Heights, Illinois.

Work Environment

Manufacturing environment with large ceilings and open space. Very safety concerned. Hot in the summers and cold in the winters. Heat lamps make the temperature feel like room temperature during the winter. Candidates will have to wear steel toe boots, hard hat, and safety glasses at all times. The company performs random drug tests that are required for all employees.
