Description

Prestigious law firm seeks a paralegal with a focus on Family Law to join their collaborative team. The paralegal will partner with family law attorneys assisting in all aspects of the cases. The paralegal should have at least 3+ years of family law experience and strong skills preparing and reviewing financial documents.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Review, analyze, and summarize financial records

• Prepare deposition summaries and assist with trial preparations

• Coordinate and participate in document production

• Communicate with clients, court personnel, experts, attorneys, and others to obtain and provide information

• Utilize the Westlaw and Lexis systems to obtain information

• Prepare Interrogatories and Requests for Production

• Answer written discovery requests and prepare Notice of Deposition forms

• Issue subpoenas and riders and prepare financial affidavits and other financial documents

• Handle routine communications with clients, attorneys, and vendors

Requirements

3+ years of Family law experience

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat and Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Case Management Software and Management Systems

• Experience with LexisNexis for legal research

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
