Robert Half Full Charge Bookkeeper in Chicago, Illinois

Description We are seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper to join our team based in CHICAGO, Illinois. In this role, you will handle all aspects of the accounting functions for our company, including accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and billing functions. This position offers a contract to hire employment opportunity and requires proficiency in accounting software systems and Microsoft Office Suites, especially Excel.

Responsibilities:

• Utilize accounting software systems to process business transactions like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts

• Ensure all customer credit applications are processed accurately and efficiently

• Maintain accurate records of customer credit information

• Monitor customer credit accounts, identify delinquent payments, and take appropriate action for collection

• Perform bank reconciliations on a regular basis for accurate financial reporting and record keeping

• Execute billing functions, ensuring timely and accurate invoicing of services

• Use Microsoft Excel for data entry, reporting, and analysis

• Utilize Microsoft Office Suites for efficient management and organization of accounting functions

• Ensure all accounting functions comply with financial regulations and standards

• Use QuickBooks for financial management and operations. Requirements • Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suites

• Experience with full spectrum Accounting Functions

• Hands-on experience with Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Proficiency in performing Bank Reconciliations

• Experience with Billing Functions

• Proficiency in QuickBooks

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion in business relationships

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role is desirable.
