Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent practical experience.

• 4 years of experience in cash accounting, bank reconciliations, or month-end close activities in a global multi-location organization.

• 4 years of experience in accounting or a related function, or 1 year with an advanced degree in accounting, business, or finance.

Preferred qualifications:

• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Master's degree in business administration.

• Experience managing project planning, status reporting, timeline estimation, issue tracking, meeting facilitation, and project documentation.

• Experience with spreadsheet technology.

• Ability to propose next steps, roadblock solutions, anticipate questions and challenges, and manage time.

• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional and international teams, with excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to communicate with senior management.

Google accountants are a savvy bunch who handle the core accounting responsibilities at Google. You know your accounting principles and the full accounting process end to end. You'll lead an accounting process from end-to-end. Other responsibilities include reconciling balance sheets and P&L accounts, and providing supplementary financial information for internal and external reports.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $99,000-$145,000. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. • Manage activities and prepare reconciliations focusing on new initiatives and projects.

• Support growth for entities and initiatives by building a scalable accounting framework.

• Partner with teams across the organization to investigate and resolve reconciling items.

• Prepare and post journal entries related to activities in accordance with internal policies and framework.

• Support Treasury accounting activities (e.g., investments) by completing month-end close activities and associated reporting, and assist in developing accurate, insightful reporting and dashboards for cash and treasury activities.
