Robert Half Real Estate Analyst in CHICAGO, Illinois
Description Robert Half is seeking a committed Financial Analyst to join a growing company. In this role, you will perform financial modeling on a number of financial products as well as be responsible for measuring, analyzing, and forecasting performance in conjunction with operating plans. We will also rely on you for advising management on the allocation of resources to best accomplish objectives and preparing reports for management. As a team member, you will serve as a key business partner in areas like forecasting, performance reporting, and expense management. This Financial Analyst role is a long-term contract / contract / contract / temporary employment opportunity in the Chicago, Illinois, area. We seek someone who has internal drive and strong potential for detail oriented growth and development.
Responsibilities
Own monthly reporting to business partners on financial results and actions required
Flexible candidate that can organize a vast amount of information while managing high expectations
Research performance to date and assess potential risks and opportunities
Enable effective Business Intelligence (BI) to provide forward-looking insight and decision support
Work next to senior executives on long-term deep dives by developing financial models and insights on topics such as: Retention forecasts, Campaign Planning & Tracking, return on investment of strategic investments, event tracking and execution, strategic resource allocation, and prioritization
Work closely with business partners in Accounting and Operations to execute against plans
Uncover the influencing factors that are driving performance and trends
Work closely with Accounting on the monthly and quarterly financial close process
Authenticate routine Area/Segment-level Bookings and P& L forecasting
Assemble and overview forecasting reports
Analyze annual performance by comparing actual results to their expectations and supply information to business partners to inform decision making Requirements - Eager problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity
navigating basic office equipment and protocols experience
Skills in problem solving through statistical analysis or with large data sets highly desired (such as in derivatives, structured finance, or business analytics or in a similarly demanding and analytical role)
Familiar with Spreadsheet and ERP system
Able to build and deliver effective presentations to audiences with wide-ranging backgrounds
Financial planning & analysis (go-to-market experience recommended)
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
BA/BS degree in finance or a related field
Understanding of Business Intelligence (BI) reporting tools required
