Job Description:

· Assist in preparing monthly/annual financial close, including preparing financial statements, recording journal entries, preparing balance sheet reconciliations, and tax compliance

· Perform daily financial transactions such as calculating, entering, reconciling, and posting in both subledger and general ledger

· Perform daily banking, as assigned

· Support system improvement initiatives, including streamlining and automating processes and enhancing internal controls

· Participate in any special projects related with the Finance and Accounting department

· Collaborate with various departments within the Company (i.e., Project Management, Engineering, Estimating, etc.) to facilitate smooth and efficient execution of transactions

· Provide support (and often leadership) in various ad-hoc projects and financial analysis

Requirements

Job Requirements:

· BS/BA in Accounting. CPA preferred

· 3 + years of direct work experience required

· Preferred industry experience: Real Estate, Manufacturing, Construction

· Ability to multitask, meet simultaneous deadline, and effectively work under pressure

· Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential with an emphasis on building new spreadsheets, analyzing large data sets and using functions such as Pivot Tables, and IF() statement

· Strong understanding of GAAP and internal controls

· Displays a passionate commitment to the goals of the team and the company

· A mature professional with excellent judgment, interpersonal skills, and ability to work independently, as well as part of a team

· Experience with analyzing and reporting data to identify issues, trends, or exceptions to drive improvement of results and find solutions
