Collaboration, communication, and community are key to the successful adoption of technology and to the success of our engineering staff. For this reason, Thornton Tomasetti is seeking a Technology Adoption Manager .

The Role

This hands-on role is equal parts content management , user engagement and change management . This team member will work closely with management and executives.

The primary responsibility of the Technology Adoption Manager is to improve collaboration, knowledge sharing, community, and adoption of best practices as they pertain to internal tools that include communication tools as well as engineering tools . They will investigate potential options to solve challenges related to employee communications surrounding our software tools and driv e engagement, advocacy, and information exchange across our global organization.

They report to the Director of Knowledge & Data and work alongside a team of cross-functional partners, including Thornton Tomasetti leadership, Communications , Business Development & Marketing, Talent Team , Learning & Organizational Development, Information Technology, and CORE studio (the company\'s R&D arm ) .

The Goals

Content Management

  • Oversee technology-related content creation, governance, and planning for the company , ensuring content quality, consistency, and relevancy across all platforms.
  • Use specific metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of content and campaigns.
  • Write content, including technical documentation, on behalf of staff.
  • Update and maintain existing content and files.
  • Hands on management of our knowledge sharing platforms , including issue tracking, user support and vendor relations.

User Engagement

  • Develop targeted engagement strategies for different segments of the workforce to ensure more effective adoption across different teams.
  • Provide support and resources to help employees adapt to and embrace new tools.
  • Keep all stakeholders informed about the technolog y adoption process, updates, and outcomes.
  • Communicating complex information in simple and fun ways, coaching leaders, and being able to measure reach and impact are keys to success.

Change Management

  • Evaluate analytics to identify strengths, weaknesses and opportunities associated with our internal communications, collaboration and knowledge sharing systems and develop and execute plans to increase adoption .
  • Establish change advocates or champions for various software tools who can assist in driving adoption
  • Leverage our Communities of Practice to drive adopt ion of tools at the grassroots level.
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor\'s degree, master\'s preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in internal communications or change management in the AEC or Professional Services industries.
  • Energetic facilitator and presenter, good public speaker.
  • Excellent collaboration, writ ing and communicat ion skills to inform, encourage, and rally employees to deliver impactful communications that encourage two-way dialogue and engagement.
  • An analytical approach to tracking communications for engagement and successful campa gns.
  • Experience e valuating data and leveraging it to create actionable plans for improved communications.
  • A history of creative thinking, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work on \"ground up\" initiatives.
  • Familiarity with managing/designing social intranets for internal communications and using chat-based communication tools for internal communications ( e.g. MS Teams , Lum Apps ) .
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Power Platform , including Power BI , Excel, Power Automate, Teams . Knowledge of other platforms (e.g., Intranet, SharePoint, Workday) and experience integrating workflow across applications is a strong plus.
