Recreation Division is hiring a Ranger who has the primary responsibility of supervising park picnic facilities on weekends and weekdays. ESSENTIAL DUTIES INCLUDE Works days, weekends, and holidays to monitor the Szot Park picnic area and help to observe other park facilities such as the pool, playground area, ball fields, basketball, tennis courts. Ensures that the park rules and regulations are adhered to at the park. Checks for picnic permits, issues permits, and collects appropriate picnic fees. Performs light maintenance duties at Szot Park picnic area-some raking, painting, cleaning bathrooms, sweeping parking lot and pavilion, general litter pick up, etc. Informs people on the use of the park badge system for using pools, basketball courts, tennis courts, and other park facilities. Some experience working with the public. Must be able to express oneself verbally. Knowledge of parks and recreation operations helpful.
