Job Overview:

The Principal Nurse performs primary, emergency, and occupational-related services within the scope of nursing practice and assists in the administrative requirements of the department.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • Perform primary, emergency, and occupational-related services within the scope of nursing practice

  • Assist in administrative requirements of the department

  • Coordinate the development of policies, standards, and guidelines in the provision of nursing services

  • Ensure the application of the nursing process at the service delivery point of specialization

  • Carry out a comprehensive health needs assessment in the specialization

  • Formulate interventions to address identified health needs

  • Coordinate implementation of nursing-related projects and programs

  • Inventory and procurement of medical supplies and equipment Implement continuing professional development programs for nurses

  • Performs TRIAGE to all patients and participates in carrying out ACLS

  • Assist in Hygiene & Sanitation Inspections

  • Implement company medical policies, assist in implementing health programs and employees ' benefits as per HR guidelines

  • Administer medications as per patient safety procedures, accepted guidance and practice, and as prescribed by the attending physician

  • Document patient medical attendance by scanning, uploading, filing medical reports and entry to electronic medical records, and ensuring integrity and confidentiality of medical reports, record keeping, and administrative reporting

Essential Qualifications and Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing

  • Qualification in Occupational Health/Occupational Medicine (Postgraduate certificate/diploma)

  • 6+ years of experience as a Nurse with administrative support, knowledgeable of ambulatory care and occupational medicine

  • Valid license issued by local health authority regulation

  • Nursing practice and other related capabilities

  • Knowledge of ambulatory care and occupational medicine

  • Knowledge of safety policies and infection control practice

  • Proficient in MS Office

  • Good communication skills, both verbal & written

  • Have a valid American Heart Association (AHA) BLS & ACLS Certification and ATLS / PHTLS or equivalent emergency medical care
