UC Health is committed to providing an inclusive, equitable and diverse place of employment. The Revenue Cycle Supervisor is responsible for overseeing Revenue Cycle functions. These functions could include coding, billing and claims management, insurance follow-up processes, customer service, cash posting, self-pay, financial counseling, pre-certification, and patient access for UC Health. The Supervisor does have direct reports and is responsible for hiring, disciplinary or termination decisions. The Supervisor role is a leadership role and is responsible for implementing departmental policies and can be responsible for leading department projects. The Supervisor will assist staff to ensure quality performance and promotes awareness of departmental processes and goals. The Supervisor performs quality audits and yearly evaluations for direct reports.Minimum Required- Associate's Degree*. Preferred- Bachelor's Degree. | CERTIFICATION: Licenses and certifications vary by department and position. | 1 - 2 years of relevant experience. *3 - 5 years equivalent experience can substitute for Associate's Degree.Leadership: Establishes the direction and influences the staff to follow the direction through effective decision-making, planning, and problem solving. Creates a high energy climate and influence others to follow direction Remains poised and confident in demanding situations Takes ownership and responsibility for decisions, deals with ambiguity, and stays on task. Demonstrates a strong commitment to customer service. Revenue Cycle Performance: Plans and deploys resources to deliver desired results, ensuring the required financial, human, information, technology, and material resources needed to deliver the expected results are in place. Sets the direction and guides the staff to follow the direction; monitor the results, notes deviations from the plan and acts accordingly Allocates and configures resources to accomplish the preferred goals and objectives established in the planning process in an optimum fashion. Manages daily work of complex processes. Staff Training and Performance: Communicates performance expectations and actively mentors personnel for success, uses the performance appraisal for development purposes. Prioritizes and assigns tasks, reviews work performed on a random basis, and challenges the staff to better themselves. Provides meaningful feedback to staff on an ongoing basis, and formally appraises performance annually. Periodically analyzes the workload and the human resources needs of the department, recommends increases and decreases in staffing. Provides opportunities for employee development through in-services and continuing education. Ensures the staff is well trained, develops and motivates employees to maintain desired performance standards and to prepare for other job opportunities. Project Management: Assigns and monitors tasks to the team members Provides effective project coordination with vendors, consultants, staff, systems, and users Provides staff and resource project plan estimates, provides accurate and timely individual and project status report Updates project status weekly and ensures timely resolution of project issues.
