Robert Half Senior Accountant in Cincinnati, Ohio

Description We are seeking a skilled and experienced Senior Accountant on a contract basis to join our dynamic team. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for overseeing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial statements, and producing tax returns. The successful candidate should possess excellent analytical skills along with the ability to combine different data and calculate profit margins. The Senior Accountant's responsibilities also include ensuring accuracy and effectiveness in all accounting tasks.

Responsibilities: Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile transactions and produce error-free accounting reports. Analyze financial information, summarize financial status, and develop projections for senior management. Participate in tax audits and payroll. Spot errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency. Establish, enforce, and maintain fiscal procedures. Coordinate activities with other departments and work groups as needed. Prepare financial statements and provide advice to management on status of financial affairs of the company. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and detail oriented organizations. Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures. Requirements Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a relevant field. An MBA or related advanced degree is preferred. CPA or other relevant certification is strongly preferred. Strong proficiency in all aspects of corporate accounting and all pertinent GAAP, SEC rules and regulations. Advanced proficiency with accounting software and experience with a software system implementation a plus. Attention to detail and problem-solving ability. Possess excellent business acumen and strong management, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to handle high levels of pressure and multi-task in a fast-paced environment. High integrity and openness combined with commitment to good governance.
