Summary:
The Senior Talent Acquisition & Development Manager at Pacific Seafood is a key role on our training and development team supporting efforts to ensure proper alignment of an accountable, high-performing, and values-driven culture to actively anticipate, plan for, and address talent and culture needs of the organization. This position involves developing and leading the overall strategic direction of talent management, talent acquisition, learning & development and is ideal for someone who is passionate about cultivating a dynamic and inclusive workplace culture while driving organizational growth and excellence through the power of talent.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
People, Leadership: Culture & Values
+ + Lead, motivate, and encourage the Talent Acquisition & Development team. Define goals and objectives that align with and support the strategic and operational goals of the Processing division.
Strive to advance people and implement divisional strategies to promote team members development and engagement.
Partner with senior management to drive employer of choice initiatives by leading internal and external campaigns that promote telling our story, increase internal team members and external candidate experience which increase our hiring and retention rates.
Develop, direct, and monitor a leadership coaching strategy and mentorship program.
Evaluate and develop education and training opportunities, both internal and external, to ensure they meet the evolving needs of the workforce
Talent Acquisition:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive talent acquisition strategy and process to attract, develop, retain, and engage a high-quality workforce.
Partner with senior leadership and HR business partners to ensure alignment of recruitment efforts with business goals.
Oversee the annual H2B visa and summer internship programs as well as the temporary agency relations in support of all locations within the division.
Manage a succession planning program with the goal of building a strong bench of leadership ready, relocatable team members to be promoted from within company.
Programs, Systems, & Vendor Management:
Manage our HR software providers and sourcing/job board vendors; including, but not limited to: Jazz HR ATS, LinkedIn, Indeed, Zip Recruiter, UKG, etc.
- Develop and manage vendor relationships with talent agencies and recruiting partners, including: Paradox AI, Circa, Bridge VMS, United Work & Travel, etc.
Negotiate contract terms with external staffing agencies, in alignment with Legal Department
Partner with the Talent and Development team to assist with the Internship Program – Student sourcing, selection process, and ongoing communication with student interns
Onboarding & Equipping:
- Develop a structured onboarding plan that outlines the stages, activities, and timelines involved in the process, integrating our mission, vision, and values.
Create and source relevant content for new hires specific to their position, complete with quick reference guides, job aids, and micro-learnings.
Equip HR Representatives to provide a strong orientation to the company, laying the foundation for a “Proudly Pacific “career, while offering tailored training to align with the new team member’s role and learning needs.
Oversee role-based training to equip team members to their specific jobs.
Talent Management:
- Lead, develop, and execute the overall talent management strategy that drives engagement and retention while delivering a clear and scalable approach to supporting leaders across the division and their teams.
Oversee annual performance review process, development action plans, and tracking of progress.
Monitor relevant metrics and KPIs to proactively diagnose and address key talent trends across the division.
Required:
- BA/BS degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Organizational Development, Marketing, or related field.
Minimum 7 years of progressive talent management and learning experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Proven experience working end-to-end talent solutions. High energy, disciplined, and focused.
Ability to influence stakeholders in written and oral communication.
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time or more, as required.
Preferred:
- Demonstrated experience working in a fast-paced work environment and delivering results in a cross-functional team setting.
Prior experience working in the seafood or food industry
Salary Range: $115,000 - $135,000 with annual incentive opportunity
