LivaNova Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA): THN Sleep Therapy is an implantable therapy for the treatment of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA), a very serious condition that affects millions of patients worldwide and occurs when the muscles in your airway relax during sleep, causing your airway to narrow or close as you breathe, depriving your brain of oxygen. This sleep apnea implant delivers therapy through neurostimulation technology and was specifically designed to deliver muscle tone to key tongue muscles, effectively controlling the flow in the upper airway and significantly reducing or eliminating sleep apnea. THN Sleep Therapy is indicated for patients with moderate to severe OSA who are unable or are unwilling to use continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) therapy. TheSleep Clinical Specialist will assist the Field Clinical Manager in all aspects of clinical research pertaining to the research studies assigned to our OSA Team. Essential Job Functions: Designs, plans, and implements the overall direction of clinical research projects. Evaluates and analyzes clinical data. Must have knowledge in reference to good clinical practices regulations and standard operating procedures. Coordinates activities of associates and investigators to ensure compliance with protocol and overall clinical objectives. Maintains a high level of professional expertise through familiarity with clinical literature and participates in project team meetings. May draft materials including informed consent documents, draft source documents, patient instruction guides, protocols, and case report forms. Conducts clinical monitoring of field sites to supervise and coordinate clinical studies. This position may require travel of up to 75% and up to one weekend per month. Geography includes Northeastern (Pennsylvania, Ohio, Delaware, New York, New Jersey, Massachusettes) or Texas Regions. Qualifications: Must have a credential in EEG or hold a RPSGT credential. Bachelor's Degree is preferred, or an Associate's Degree with comparable years of experience in the field. Must have at least 5 years' experience in the field of Polysomnography and/or EEG. Knowledge of Microsoft Office is preferred, specifically proficiency in Outlook, Word, and Excel.
