The Department of Corrections is looking for a Clerical Supervisor 1 to provide office support and supervisory work for the State Correctional Institution (SCI) Phoenix. If you enjoy ensuring efficiency in workflow and recommending operational improvements, this is the job for you!

DESCRIPTION OF WORK As a Clerical Supervisor 1, you will provide administrative and confidential support to the Deputy Superintendent to ensure operations are conducted efficiently and effectively. You will supervise Clerical Assistant 2s through the assignment and review of work, training, employee development, performance evaluation, leave approval and disapproval, and review of employee complaints. Additionally, you will schedule appointments and meetings for the Deputy Superintendent and transcribe and distribute meeting minutes to designated staff.

Work Schedule and Additional Information: Full-time employment, 37.5-hour work week Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with 30-minute lunch. This position is eligible for full retirement benefits at age 60 or 65. Salary:In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable. Selected candidates who are new to employment within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania will begin employment at the starting annual salary of $39,003.00 (before taxes). One year as a Clerical Assistant 2; or One year of moderately complex clerical experience; or An equivalent combination of experience and training. Additional Requirements:
