The Space and Intelligence Division provides engineering services and analytic support to the Air Force, Space Force, Combatant Commands, the Intelligence Community, and NASA. Our work includes systems engineering and integration, test planning and execution, cost estimating and analysis, developing approaches and concepts to meet emerging, high priority National Defense needs, and assessing and developing cutting-edge technologies and capabilities to meet those needs. SPA has a near-term need for a Full Stack Developer.

Responsibilities

Qualified applicants will be expected to implement user stories from the product backlog via Test Driven Development and Pair Programming. You will be expected to write tests before you write production code. Testing first gives confidence and keeps focus. With a balanced-team approach, you provide inputs on complexity and architecture decisions to the other product team members. You will be responsible for: Demonstrated working knowledge & experience in the following areas: Apache Spark, Kubernetes, Kafka, SIMP Project, Ansible, Docker, GIT, Linux, Suricata, Zeek, Kibana, Logstash, Elastic Search, Neo4J, PostgreSQL, Terraform, Artifactory, GitLab, network engineering, AWS Cloud, agile software development, agile methodologies, agile project management, software project management, defensive cyber military operations, software development life cycle management, program/project management, systems engineering, strategic planning, cross-functional team.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science or related STEM education from an accredited university Minimum 4 yearsof professional, hands-on industry experience as a Full Stack Developer: Demonstrated experience delivering successful production software and complex software applications for medium to large size businesses Performing coding, debugging, testing and troubleshooting throughout the application development process Designing/developing software applications and providing recommendations on complex projects Deep hands-on software development and programming technical expertise User interface, user experience, frontend and backend development using C, C++, Java, JavaScript, Python, & Angular Executing Test Driven Development and Extreme Programming Writing applications in Spring Boot, React.JS, and Redux Application Program Interface Development SAFe for Teams Certification, & AWS certifications (Associate Developer, & AWS Specialty Security within a year of start date) or be able to demonstrate AWS competence using the CLI and Boto Active Secret Clearance, with eligibility for a Top Secret SCI At SPA, we strive to deliver a robust total compensation package that will attract and retain top talent. Please note that the salary information shown below is a general guideline only. Salaries are commensurate with experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. California/Colorado Pay Transparency Range: 100k - 160k.
