Young Scholars Academy Lead Preschool Teacher in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Some people don't frequent the teaching section of Mardels, but we do.

Some people don't wake up and look forward to seeing 14 kids, but we do.

Some people don't get stupid excited about science experiments for three year olds, but we do.

Some people don't listen to twenty different versions of Baby Shark, but we do.

Some people don't know all the words to Pete the Cat books, but we do.

We're looking for the "crazy" people who want to be valued as educators (not babysitters) in this field. Our teaching team is made up of many different styles, quirks, and smirks. You don't have to teach a certain way or fit into a mold to be passionate about tiny human's development.

Think you'd like to live the same way? Some requirements include:

If applying as a lead leader, you must be qualified in the state of Colorado to teach early childhood or elementary-level education. This means you either have some classes, a certificate, or a full Associate's or Bachelor's degree. (Specifically those classes or degrees must be directly tied to ECE or EDU.) CDA's are acceptable as well, current not expired ones!

If applying as an assistant teacher, past experience in a child care program or large group setting is required. We can help you meet education goals later, lots of folks have done it while being part of this team!

Teachers are responsible for teaching, assessing, curriculum planning, nose wiping, diaper changing and the occasional "therapy" session. (wink) Singing off-key, playing dress up and making silly sound effects are key during circle time.

Young Scholars Academy will be different for your experience because:

We care about you as a mom, dad, educator and person. You're not just a warm body.

We offer FREE childcare for your family. (Psst no one else does that in the Springs.)

Our break room is legitimately a break room and not a closet. It offers snacks, meals and recliners for you to actually take a break.

Health care benefits include medical, dental and vision insurance. (More information available upon interview!)

Don't get us wrong we have high expectations but for a good reason. Who gets to live like we do? We do!
