Optiv Federal Account Manager in Columbia, Maryland

The Account Manager position at Optiv + ClearShark is critical to the success of our business. As a member of the Optiv + ClearShark Sales Organization you must embody our core tenants which are as follows: easy to do business with, superb execution, effective communication, teamwork, responsibility, be THE BEST, and have fun.

The Account Manager serves as the key revenue driver for Optiv + ClearShark and is responsible for revenue creation and delivery within assigned territory.

How you’ll make an impact

  • Proactively work with end-user customers to solve customer needs.

  • Build demand for our core technology offerings.

  • Establish, develop and maintain positive business, customer and partner relationships.

  • Be an advocate for the customer during pre-sales and post-sales campaigns.

  • Negotiate best possible margin for transaction with partner sales team.

  • Manage and communicate pipeline to Optiv + ClearShark leadership.

  • Direct assigned SE and ISR resources to maximize Gross Profit within territory.

  • Work with Optiv + ClearShark Marketing team to support events.

  • Become and remain certified on our core partners’ technology.

  • Forecast business to leadership monthly.

What we’re looking for

  • College degree preferred or minimum of 4 years of military service.

  • Proven track record of enterprise sales.

  • Five years’ experience preferred.

  • Willing to travel to customer site(s) and Industry Trade-Shows.

  • Strong Excel and computer skills; NetSuite or similar CRM system preferable.

  • Domain expertise of assigned territory.

  • Excellent communication, team player and strong business acumen.
