Description

Robert Half is seeking a litigation attorney for a growing firm in the Columbus area. Ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of civil litigation experience

Responsibilities:

• Act as lead counsel on a variety of civil litigation cases in both state and federal court.

• Manage all aspects of the litigation process, from case inception through trial and appeal.

• Conduct legal research, draft pleadings, motions, and other legal documents, and prepare for hearings, depositions, and trials.

• Develop case theories, objectives, and litigation strategies to achieve favorable outcomes for clients.

• Provide mentorship, supervision, and guidance to newly admitted and younger attorneys within the firm, including reviewing and revising their work product while providing constructive feedback.

• Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and partners to create plans to assist in the professional development and training of junior attorneys, including sharing knowledge and best practices in trial advocacy, legal research, and case management.

• Ensure prompt and effective communication related to strategy, staffing, billing and objectives with clients.

Requirements • Must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school

• Must be admitted to practice law in the state, and in good standing with the state bar

• Experience in civil litigation is required

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team

• High level of professionalism and confidentiality

• Proficient in legal research and documentation

• Strong negotiation skills

• Knowledge of legal principles and procedures

• Ability to handle high-pressure situations in a calm and efficient manner.
