ENGIE NORTH AMERICA Construction Manager II in Columbus, Ohio

What You Can Expect As our Construction Manager II, at The Ohio State University, you will be responsible for providing guidance and leadership during the construction phase and be the main point of contact for construction related tasks, issues, and progress. The Project Manager will retain overall responsibility for the project and project size may determine level of involvement required by the Construction Manager. Every day, you will work in a self-managed team concept, as part of a team responsible for managing utility infrastructure capital projects associated with expanding and maintaining the utility system on the campus. Ultimately you will be responsible for the safe, on time, and underbudget delivery of projects ranging in size from $100,000 to $25M, over the span of 1-5 years. You will report to the Director of Capital Projects. What You'll Bring You have a high school diploma or equivalent You possess a minimum 2 (Two) years of experience in Construction management or utility maintenance management or similar You will manage the construction of multiple life cycle and expansion projects concurrently You will provide logistics and constructability review, comments, and resolution during design and construction phases of each project You will oversee and perform Quality Assurance/ Quality Control (QA/QC) supervision on the inspections (such as: welding, concrete, backfill compaction) performed in the field You will coordinate with the necessary ENGIE and University stakeholders to facilitate project execution such as Communications, Department of Public Safety, Transportation & Traffic Management, Emergency Management, Medical Center You will lead the punchlist process and assist Project Manager with ENGIE and University Closeout responsibilities You will provide field input to assist with tracking and reporting of schedule and budget performance during construction You will ensure contractors are performing construction management according to Engie standards and contractual requirements You will carry out other duties as assigned Additional Details This role is eligible for our hybrid work policy This role requires attendance at a worksiteon a daily Must possess a valid U.S. driver's license/will drive company vehicle on campus Must be willing and able to comply with all ENGIE ethics and safety policies Knowledge of natural gas, steam, hot water, chilled water, and electric utilities This position consist of 20% of outdoor work, while performing the duties of this job, the employee maybe exposed to weather conditions Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy Could involve some lifting up to 50 lbs Ability to visit and monitor multiple active construction sites Compensation Salary Range: $74,500 - $114,195 USD annually This represents the average expected pay range for a qualified candidate. Actual offered salary may depend on geography, experience, industry knowledge, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors.
