JPMorgan Chase Home Lending Credit Forecasting - Net Charge-offs - Associate in Columbus, Ohio

The Senior Associate in Credit and Loss Forecasting will be primarily responsible for supporting the oversight and reporting of net charge-offs (NCO) for the Chase Home Lending portfolio.

The position will interact with the Home Lending Credit Forecast team located both in US and India, as well as partners in Home Lending Risk, Finance/Controller, Modeling and Model Governance. This will be a key position in the Home Lending Credit Forecasting group responsible for providing senior management with forecast results, as well as other ad hoc functions in support of Home Lending Credit Forecasting reporting and analysis.

The successful candidate must excel at understanding model results and providing intuition to support the results from business perspective in order to develop a senior level presentation.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Provide information by assembling, interpreting and summarizing data, preparing reports, making presentations of findings, along with analyses and recommendations to Senior Management

  • Explain the model results and provide more intuition to support the results from business perspective

  • Understand the Credit forecast process and needs and rationale for business decisions

  • Expected to work on multiple projects with limited guidance

  • Manage interactions and communication with Controllers, Finance, Central Team, Modeling, and MRGR to ensure consistency of the loss forecast

  • Assist in data and forecast results analysis in a business and financial context

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • Minimum 3+ years of loss forecasting analytics, financial budgeting and/or modeling experience. Experience in statistical modeling, CCAR, NCOs, LLR/CECL, risk management and mortgage industry is preferred

  • Demonstrable understanding of financial statements and disclosures required

  • Strong communication skills to present to and collaborate with business partners and model end-users and interpersonal skills a must including the ability to explain and/or present analysis

  • Strong analytical, interpretive and problem-solving skills, which will require the ability to synthesize / analyze diverse information and develop strategy recommendations from observed outcomes

  • Must have good judgment with the demonstrated ability to think creatively and strategically

  • Ability to work independently while managing projects and deadlines

  • Must be detail oriented and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

  • A masters degree in a quantitative discipline (e.g. Finance, Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Operation Research) is a plus

  • Proficiency in analytical languages (e.g. SAS, Python, R) is a plus
