Operations Specialist Foundation-Development Services Requisition ID 2024-48557 Category Administrative/Clerical Overview The Gift Processor, Development Services enters donor information and processes gifts in the fundraising database, scans and deposits checks into the bank, performs daily balancing processes to reconcile revenue with gifts, generates donor acknowledgement letters, and maintains data integrity through database maintenance and clean up. Responsibilities * Organizes gifts into batches then scans all checks into the Foundation bank account for deposit. Accurately calculates totals, assigns bank numbers, scans checks, verifies all are scanned accurately, and records all activities onto Batch Deposit log. * Creates records for new donors or updates existing records. Enters various types of gifts into the fundraising database following strict guidelines and gift coding procedures. Determines donor type, demographic and personal history, relevant gift codes, and uses various data mining software to determine accuracy of demographic information. * Accurately enters tribute gifts in the fundraising database using the appropriate codes, including the person being remembered or honored and the family or person(s) to be acknowledged. * Runs batch validation reports and prepares daily balancing worksheets to verify all bank deposits and gifts have been correctly processed. Performs fundraising database maintenance and clean-up projects to ensure data integrity. * Uses the export and merge functions in Word to create daily donor acknowledgement letter(s) for all gifts processed. Proofreads acknowledgement letters. * Works at all Foundation sponsored events requiring financial and registration support. Qualifications Education: * High School diploma or equivalent experience, required. * Associate's Degree, preferred. Skills: * Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, required. * Accuracy and attention to detail along with strong organizational skills, the ability to manage multiple tasks and work in a timely manner to meet established deadlines, required. * Ability to cultivate and maintain working relationships with a variety of people and personalities, required. * Excellent communication, interpersonal, and reading comprehensio
