Our Opening and Your Responsibilities As part of Global Supply Chain Management, Global Indirect Procurement is responsible for the strategic category and supplier management of all indirect categories. Under consideration of innovation, cost, quality and availability we strive to develop procurement to become a competitive advantage for METTLER TOLEDO. The Fleet Manager will be responsible for the execution and oversight of the North American fleet strategy which includes a 1,000-vehicle count based in the U.S and Canada. They will be responsible for transforming the fleet program to an electric vehicle strategy and to drive execution of the strategy as it aligns with the Company's environmental, social and governance (ESG) goals. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Oversee and manage fleet program, 1,000 vehicles, and drive electrification strategy for North America (NA), which includes the U.S. and Canada. Gather and analyze spend and supplier data to develop and execute the North America regional fleet strategy Create and facilitate the execution of fleet policies and practices to be applied uniformly across North America. Meet cost reduction, availability targets and increase North America fleet program's reach while assuring sustainability and performance of the supplier base Lead and manage competitive bids, sourcing initiatives, contract negotiations, and management approvals in a decentralized organization Collaborate and provide subject matter best practices and approaches within the Global Procurement team Develop and nurture strong relationships with leaders of the organization and drive change as needed for initiatives through demonstrating strong leadership Optimize partnership with Fleet Management Company Lead successful implementation of additional business units into Fleet program Oversee Indirect Buyer activities, which includes operational support of the fleet program Continuously improve processes, ensure proper documentation, data accuracy and end-to-end compliance Other duties may be assigned What You Need to Succeed Bachelor's degree (master's degree preferred) with a major/specialization/concentration in Procurement, Sourcing, Supply Chain or Logistics, MBA is a plus 7-10 years working experience in the North American fleet industry or supply chain related roles A plus is a solid market know-how of the North American car fleet industry and knowledge of indirect sourcing Experience in negotiation with suppliers combined with contracting skills and experience in driving ahead projects Proven ability to effectively present information and react to requests from all levels of an organization Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to collaborate with global team members, stakeholders, and suppliers at multiple levels and varying cultures are requested Proactive, self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset combined with solid financial acumen, SAP knowledge is an asset Excellent written and oral communication skills are required Our Offer to You Medical, dental and vision care coverage and a 401(k) savings plan with company matching - all starting on date of hire Tuition reimbursement, employee wellness programs, plus other perks and discounts Parental and caregiver leave policies All the usual benefits such as paid time off, flexible spending, short-and long-term disability, basic life insurance, business travel insurance, Employee Assistance Program, and domestic partner benefits Global market strength and worldwide leadership in weighing A brand name that is identified worldwide with precision, quality, and innovation Thousands of patents, design and innovation awards A commitment to extraordinary service on our state-of-the-art equipment About Mettler Toledo Working at Mettler Toledo means you are impacting the world in important ways.
