Who will you be working with ?

In this role, you will collaborate with a global cross-functional team.

How will you make a difference ?

The Quality Assurance Engineer is responsible for the development and execution of manual, automated test scripts and executing Functional, Regression, and automated testing on-demand and via a CI/CD pipeline to ensure a high-quality product is delivered to our PDS2 customers.

What will your typical day look like?

• This position is for aQualityAssuranceEngineerwhowillprovidetechnicalguidancetosmallteams, performmaintenanceoftheautomation framework, suggestimprovements, andimplementthem. He/Shewouldprovidetechnicalguidanceand make recommendations for bestpractices in QualityEngineeringand Automation.

• Develop and execute maintainable automation tests for acceptance, integration, end-to-end, functional, and regression test cases.

• Shouldbewillingtoworkwithgeographicallydistributedteamswithinnormal US business hours.

• Take ownership of small and medium-sized tasks and deliver while mentoring and helping Wabtec and Contractor team members.

• Perform design reviews toensure the proposed approach meetsfunctionalrequirementsand follows bestpractices for developingautomatedtest scripts.

• Performcode reviews toensurecodeandcontentmeetdefined standards and do not break existingfunctionality.

• Provideguidanceto junior memberstomaintainqualityengineering, qualitytestplanning, andpropertestmethodology.

• Providesupport in troubleshooting issuesrelatedtotheautomation tool, VMs, etc., andengagesupportteamswhennecessary.

• Overseeeffortsto build efficiencies in theautomation framework toincreasetherobustnesswhilereducingtheruntime, maintenance, and script creation time.

• Ensureunderstandingofissuesandpresentsclearrationale. Use two-way communication toinfluenceoutcomesandongoingresults.

• Interactingwithcustomers in this role ispossibleto some extent.

What do we want to know about you ?

• Bachelor’sDegreeorequivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology, MIS, Engineering, or a closelyrelatedfieldofstudy.

• Extensiveexperience in testautomationusingSelenium, REST assured, andotherautomation tools.

• Detailedknowledgeofwriting Java in a SAFe/Agileenvironment.

• Workingknowledgeof CI/CD tosupportcontinuousautomationanddeploymentprocess, alongsideexperience in usingBashcommandswith Linux.

• Experience in testing REST APIs using apps such as Postmanand Java packagessuch as REST Assured.

• Experience withanyissue-tracking andagileproject management tools such as Rally, XWiki, HP ALM, etc.

• Knowledgeof cloud technologies in AWS.

• Workingknowledgeof Docker, as well as awareness of container management tools such as Kubernetes.

• Experience workingwith virtual machines (VMs) as partof a test/integrationinfrastructure

• Strategicandcreativethinkingtoanalyzeissuesthatmayariseandcreatesolutions.

• Abilitytorespondpositivelyto feedback andimplementchange in processesand procedures as needed.

• Strong oral, and written communication, andinterpersonal skills.

• AdvancedEnglish.

• Awareness about the railroad industry, with knowledge of competitors and industry trends (desirable).

• Travelrequirementmaybe 10%-20% annually, ifremoteto Melbourne, FL for quarterlyplanningactivities.
