All work is performed on site, in Crane, Indiana, 5 days per week. Remote delivery is not authorized.
We are seeking an RF and Electrical Engineer to assist with a range of tasks involving RF engineering, electrical engineering, and test and evaluation (T&E). This role will require a self-motivated individual with a strong background in electrical and RF systems, who can author and execute detailed test procedures, conduct relevant measurements, and provide expertise in both theory and practice of RF/electrical systems.
Responsibilities:
Conduct electrical and RF measurements on various systems and components.
Develop, design, and document RF and electrical test procedures.
Author and run Test Procedures, ensuring quality and compliance with required specifications.
Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) in RF and electrical system functions.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support various engineering tasks including design, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical and RF systems.
Design, evaluate, and optimize RF and electrical circuits, including power, attenuation, filters, antennas, and more.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex electrical and RF-related issues.
Maintain detailed test reports and documentation for all test activities.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Electrical Circuit Understanding: Ability to read and understand circuit schematics.
Electrical Theory: Solid understanding of **voltage, power, current, and resistance.
RF Circuit Knowledge: Proficient in RF circuit schematics and design, including RF power, attenuation, filters, diplexers, antennas, and loads.
Antenna Theory and Design: In-depth understanding of antenna design principles.
Electrical Test Equipment: Experience with tools like multimeters, oscilloscopes, power supplies, and loads.
RF Test Equipment: Proficiency with tools like spectrum analyzers, real-time spectrum analyzers, and network analyzers.
Electrical Measurements: Expertise in basic electrical measurements (voltage, capacitance, inductance, current, power).
RF Measurements: Expertise in RF measurements, including RF power, frequencies, occupied bandwidth, and modulation.
RF Communication Standards: Understanding of modulation schemes, communication protocols, and RF communication standards.
Programming Skills: Familiarity with programming for test equipment using languages like Python and/or C++.
Cellular Network Knowledge: Familiarity with cellular network design and operation (3G, 4G, and 5G technologies).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience in test and evaluation engineering, specifically within the RF and electrical domains.
Demonstrated ability to independently author, draft, and run Test Procedures.
Strong background in using both electrical and RF test equipment.
Proven track record in RF system design, testing, and evaluation.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance. Due to the sensitivity of customer related requirements, U.S. Citizenship is required.
