What you will do

In this role you will develop and support electronic control systems for automated fire detection and suppression for heavy-duty off-road vehicles, commercial kitchen appliances, and other applications.

You will collaborate with mechanical engineers, firmware developers, product management, and manufacturing operations throughout the product development cycle. You will also work with approval agencies to achieve product approvals.

This role involves occasional travel to customer/end user sites.

How you will do it

  • 80% new product development

  • 20% support of existing products

  • System level design and/or analysis

  • Requirements development

  • Electrical, mechanical, environmental, and regulatory testing

  • Root cause analysis

  • Component level circuit analysis

What we look for

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or equivalent four year technical degree

  • Product development experience related to commercial, industrial, or vehicle control systems

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

  • Familiarity with DMM’s, oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, and data acquisition units

  • Technical writing

  • Written and verbal communications

  • Familiarity with software/firmware development processes

  • Computer proficiency including MS Office
