Robert Half HR Generalist in Dallas, Texas
Description If you have a passion for Human Resources and you're looking for an exciting, new Generalist opportunity, Robert Half has the opportunity for you as a Human Resources Generalist. This role will involve various HR duties, including recruiting, conducting new hire orientation, updating the employee handbook, and managing employee relations.
Major responsibilities
Collaborate with employees, upper management, and third-party vendors
Create & /or support a recruitment plan according to business and operational projections
Assess employee performance, including appraising pay scales, assisting with annual reviews, and coordinating disciplinary action (including terminations if necessary)
Create employee engagement plans, including budget approvals and management oversite
Differentiate local, state, and federal laws to current internal policies and procedures
Manage employee relations, which may include finding new ways to engage employees or coordinating sensitive conversations
Collaborate with other members of the HR department to oversee the hiring and onboarding process for new company employees
Develop onboarding plans and train newly hired employees on HR policies, internal procedures, and regulations
Accountable for completing various tasks to support the daily operations of the HR department
Develop official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters, salary adjustments, updates to the employee handbook, leave of absences, and warning/termination letters
Design templates for HR documents, including the Employee Handbook
Maintain physical and digital files for employees and their documents, including benefits, attendance records, and annual reviews Requirements - B.A. or B.S. degree preferred, preferably with a Human Resources or Psychology emphasis
Full cycle recruiting experience
Prior experience coordinating and implementing Open Enrollment is a plus
Eagerness to work independently as well as part of a team with flexibility and willingness to learn and take initiative on variety of tasks and projects
Prior HR Generalist experience preferred
Strong knowledge of local, state and federal laws
- This position's duties require a person who is highly professional; able to use good judgment and maintain a high level of confidentiality and sensitivity
Proficient with office computer applications and software, as well as social media platforms
Experience using Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS)
Excellent written and verbal business skills
