Description You will use your knowledge and skills to prepare and consolidate financial statements, analyze and reconcile accounts, analyze cash flow, build budgets and forecasts, prepare audits, and manage internal control maintenance and regulatory reporting. Major responsibilities
Engage in various department-wide initiatives
Successfully collaborate with business partners to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies, procedures, controls and provide support on special requests when necessary
Provide monthly accounting closure procedures and deliverables, which includes journal entries, reconciliations, reports in compliance with GAAP
Present analysis on financial results such as trends, performance metrics, benchmarks, etc.
Aid in coordinating quarterly reviews and testing with internal and external auditors
Provide Balance Sheet account reconciliations
Continuously analyze current automation of the accounting and reporting process and present improvement suggestions
Delegate resources to Ad-hoc projects as necessary
Prepare monthly consolidated P& L and Balance Sheet flux analysis for management reporting Requirements - Strong organizational skills and a proven ability to meet deadlines
Sharp, analytical thinking abilities, always seeking to draw connections and identify the "why"
Microsoft Excel experience
Prior experience in a public accounting environment is highly valued
Understanding of corporate performance management (CPM) and business intelligence systems required
SOX internal control assessments (Section 404) experience
Excellent verbal, written, and social communication skills
Current and relevant ERP system experience
Able to manage time well
3-5 years of overall general accounting experience, ideally with Big 4 experience
BA/BS in Accounting, CPA credentials are preferred
Be detailed, flexible, and organized
Self-starter with efficient time management and organizational skills
Comfortable working in a changing and dynamic environment
