Your Impact at SAM

The Survey Project Manager is responsible for developing work orders, working with and training technicians, and reviewing boundaries for TXDOT transportation projects.

  • Day-to-day tasks include overseeing project execution, collaborating with team members, and ensuring quality standards are met.

  • Success in this role is measured by effective teamwork, proficiency in TX boundary surveying, CAD software expertise, and mentorship of technicians.

  • Projects primarily focus on TXDOT projects, with occasional support for other teams.

  • The team comprises 13 members with a strong teamwork culture

  • Opportunities for career growth within project management and other senior positions

What You Bring to SAM

  • TX RPLS License

  • Required technical proficiencies include AutoCAD, while proficiency in Microstation and TBC (Trimble Business Center) is preferred.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills including the ability to clearly define assignments/deliverables to team members

  • Ability to oversee, mentor and motivate a project team

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and problem solve on the fly

  • Ability to meet or exceed deadlines while maintaining teamwork and collaboration with others
