Job Description

We are seeking a Maintenance Fitter responsible for preventative maintenance, faultfinding and breakdowns on a range of manufacturing equipment. You will work as part of a team which values teamwork and showing flexibility to assist each other where required. The role requires an experienced 'hands on' individual who is able to work day and/or afternoon shifts and be on call. This position is within the Maintenance Team, located in Dandenong South and reporting directly to the Facility & Maintenance Manager.

Responsibilities

• Proven understanding of the operation and maintenance procedures of all site equipment.

• Uphold innovative approach to the position with a view to improve efficiency in the operation and performance in all areas.

• Be able to work in a highly Dynamic manner to ensure that downtime is minimized, and plant efficiency Is optimized.

• Ensure timely and effective completion of all maintenance tasks.

• Ability to work autonomously and part of a team.

• Exercise strong planning and organizational skills.

• Able to undertake shiftwork. And respond to on call.

• Troubleshooting analysis skills.

• Contribute to maintaining zero LTI site.

• Excellent communication Skills.

Required Experience

• Mechanical trade qualifications

• Maintenance fitter trade qualifications preferably in manufacturing

• Food/FMCG manufacturing experience

• Confined Space certificate

• EWP license

• Forklift license

• Knowledge experience in servicing equipment to include - mechanical components, bearings and pneumatics.

• Maintenance database experience

• Ability to access emails and replying them

Preferred Experience

• 3 years in a food manufacturing environment and compliance standards

• Experience in Tig welding experience

• Knowledge about Spare parts interpreting

• Experience in Maintenance Planning
