Position Overview Riverside Research is seeking a Contracts Close Out Specialist to provide contract close-out support to the Big Safari program office; The Specialis will support the Program Close Out by preparing contract records for official closeout by the Government. Specifically, this position will prepare a variety of contract records for closeout that are compliant with governing rules, regulations, and policies. Contract records include but are not limited to the following contract types: Firm-Fixed-Price (FFP), Cost Reimbursement (CR), Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ), Time-and-Material (T&M), and/or Labor Hour (LH) contracts. Responsibilities Responsibilities: Provide contracting support services to include contract close-out and other acquisition phases on a secondary basis. Ensure compliance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and other applicable documents and regulations, system and guides to include the AFMC Contract Closeout Guide, DoD FAR Supplement (DFARS), AF FAR Supplement (AFFARS), AFI 63-101 (Chapter 4), and the ConWrite Manual. Assist the contract close-out team to access, research, analyze, and utilize specialized data bases on a regular basis to assist with managing procurement tasks dealing with self-administered contracts. Assist in constructing agency reports and drafting other legal correspondence/documents in response to protest actions or other claims against the agency. Assist in the preparation of draft briefings, correspondence, agency reports and draft legal documents associated with the procurement process. Provide coordination support for audits by the Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), and other governmental agencies such as Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and Defense Finance Accounting Service (DFAS). Provide advice, recommendations, research, and analysis to support Government contracting officer's decisions regarding contractual issues found. Support the 645 AESG in all aspects of records management. Qualifications Minimum Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree or an Advanced Degree without experience or equivalent work experience is typically required for an employee Ability to obtain a "Secret" clearance Ability to use computer applications Preferred Requirements: Possess and maintain a SECRET security clearance Experience with the following databases / systems is required: ConWrite, Electronic Document Access (EDA), Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), and System for Award Management (SAM). Experience with ConData preferred. Experience in providing contract close-out support within a Systems Program Office within the Department of Defense preferred. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office products. Global Comp $60,000 - $80, 000 This represents the typical compensation range for this position based on experience, location and other factors.
