As a Senior System Administrator with MTSI, you will support a customer operating out of Wright-Patterson AFB in Dayton, OH, with travel up to 20%, as required by the Government. The Senior System Administrator serves as the Program Office's information technology specialist and is responsible for supporting, designing, maintaining, and monitoring internal and external networks as well as implementing and managing all systems, applications, security, and network configurations. Additionally, the Senior System Administrator would resolve network performance issues, recommend upgrades, patches and new applications and equipment, and provide technical support and guidance to users. Responsibilities Essential job functions will include but may not be limited to: * Performing systems administrator functions on Windows servers and workstations. * Configuring and maintaining routers, switches and other networking equipment. * Servicing all local and remote network users of multi-level classified systems. * Working with an IT and IA team to establish overall priorities and respond to the daily and unique requests from team members, users and program support personnel. * Assessing proposed changes to customer information systems, their operation environment, and mission needs for impacts to network architectures and continued compliance with network requirements. * Providing inputs to development teams responsible for designing and developing organizational information systems and upgrading legacy systems. * Keeping abreast of current and new technologies and threats to better support the customer in maintaining network resilience. * Identifying integration issues related to the implementation of new systems within the existing infrastructure; recommend mitigation and/or resolution options as appropriate. * Assisting in the design of systems and networks that encompass multiple enclaves to include those with differing data protection/classification requirements. * Maintaining
