Corewell Health Office Coordinator in Dearborn, Michigan

Job Summary

Under general direction, performs a wide range of reception, Business Office and Administrative duties in support of the Administrator and Director of Nursing. Provides a comfortable and positive environment for staff and residents.

Essential Functions

  • Welcomes all individuals that enter the Rehabilitation and Skilled Nursing Facility. Answers telephones promptly (within three rings), providing caller with complete, accurate, prompt and reliable information ensuring customer satisfaction and dispersal of messages. Ensures a comfortable and pleasant environment for residents and visitors and maintains amenities in the common area/lobby.

  • Provides a wide range of duties supporting Facility Administrator and Director of Nursing, including special projects.

  • Prepares meeting arrangements, schedules room preparation and prepares packets and handouts as needed.

  • Troubleshoots situations which may arise involving visitors or residents in the lobby.

  • Composes and prepares administrative correspondence including letters, memos, policies and reports as needed.

  • Develops and manages schedules for the Administrator to ensure efficient utilization of his/her time.

  • Trains and mentors new Receptionists.

  • Acts a liaison between our residents, staff and/or family members.

  • Promptly notifies the maintenance department of any emergencies occurring in the building including the fire panel.

  • Maintains office equipment in working order and/or follow up with repair when necessary.

  • Responsible for monitoring and ordering of office supplies.

  • Takes ownership to resolve customer problems and complaints. Reports resident and/or family members concerns to the appropriate department director.

Qualifications

  • Required High School Diploma

  • 2 years of relevant experience 2-3 years of office experience Required
