Busy, growing dermatology office seeks a Medical Assistant to join the team. The perfect candidate will be dependable, organized, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment. Candidates with dermatology, Mohs, or cosmetic experience will be strongly considered, but lack of those skills will not disqualify potential candidates.

You MUST be a trained medical assistant (CMA/RMA) and have a strong medical background to be considered for this position. Please do not apply if you do not.

**Applicants should be tech savvy and comfortable working in an environment that utilizes the latest technology. Practice uses EMA electronic medical health records system.

Clinical Job Responsibilities: -Check in and room patients - Enter medications and allergies and history - Obtain first pass at Chief Complaint and History of Present Illness - Scribe physician notes - Suture removals, wound checks - Inject and perform procedures allowed by your license or training by Physician - Accurately bill for encounters and procedures in a timely manner - Deliver more complex results to patients - Take photos of procedure sites - Setup for procedures - Prior authorizations, referrals - Fill out and maintain logs - Train and assist new employees and current employees in your role - Turn over and clean patient rooms and patient areas around office

Clerical Job Responsibilities: - Answer phone calls - Maintain patient schedule - Enter insurance information - Return patient calls - Deliver benign/simple results to patients. - Fax documents - Fill out and maintain logs - Keep break room clean - Follow all HIPAA and other privacy laws

Other Job Responsibilities: - Stay organized and make sure supplies needed for patient care are adequately stocked - Administer medications as directed by physician - Assist with surgery and preparing room for surgery and procedures like tissue mapping - Other jobs as assigned by Physicians - Travel to satellite offices is required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $18.00 per hour
