Job Summary

The Unit Manager (UM) is responsible for the overall operation of a nursing unit. The ideal candidate will have a passion for elder care, a strong leadership and management background, and a commitment to providing quality care to our residents.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to the nursing staff
• Ensure that all residents receive the highest quality of care
• Develop and implement unit policies and procedures
• Monitor the unit budget and ensure that resources are used efficiently
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the needs of residents are met
• Represent the unit to the administration and to the community

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state you are working in
• Valid CPR certification
• At least 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
• Strong leadership and management skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
